Choose the Cup of Jesus
You’ll never have the glory till you’re broken and spilled out.
No, you’ll never know His glory till you’re broken and spilled out.
And you’ll never see His glory till you see it for yourself.
And you’ll never have His glory till you’ve given up your power,
And you find His strength and power deep within.
Oh, you’ll never have the glory till you’re broken and spilled out,
Till you give all your strength, your glory, and your might,
Till you run past yourself, and you find Him in the way.
Then you’ll never know His glory if you stay on your path and your way.
But if you will follow Him, He’ll lead you to a plan in Heaven made for you.
Oh, the plan in Heaven is made for you. It’s just for you.
It is backed up by His glory. It’s sealed in eternity.
It has foundation stones laid into you.
Your foundation is your glory. Your foundation matches the glory in Him.
But you’ll never know His glory, lest you be broken and spilled out for Him.
We must see His glory. We must see it. We must see it.
Oh, if you cannot see it, you’ve never lent your eyes to Him.
You choose your sights.
You choose your focus.
And if it’s all about how you feel, then you will never be sealed.
If it’s all about how you feel, then you’ll never be sealed,
sealed in the path of His glory.
If it’s all about how we feel, then for sure, we’ll never see.
We’ll never see the mighty glory ever present before thee.
For it’s present every moment, and it needs no special time.
It needs no special music. It needs no special time.
It’s ever before the eyes of those who’ve let their eyes be bathed in glory.
Then eternal purposes are all you’ll see, and you’ll not be focused in a great sea,
Causing your hearts and your minds to scan the sea, scan the sights, scan the events,
But glory lies before us every moment of the day.
But you’ll never know His glory save you be broken and spilled out for Him.
No, you’ll never know His glory if you’re in yourself all day.
If it’s all about what you like and what you do not like,
If it’s all about the cup of tea and whether it suits thee,
Then you shall never know the glorious plan that’s been laid in eternity for thee.
He chooses you. He chooses the plan.
He doesn’t choose your cup of tea.
So forget your cup of tea, and drink His glorious cup before thee,
The chalice of His covenant, the blood to flow through thee, to rid your life of all that blood has brought to thee, from birth and everything that’s come your way.
And choose the cup of Jesus, and drink it to the full,
And you will know the glory way, and glory will call for thee.
