Jesus’ messages to the seven churches of Asia Minor in the Book of Revelation were prophetic warnings to those believers. He called upon them to repent and remain faithful.  When I think about the church of Ephesus, I think of all the Christians today whose love of Jesus has suffered while they changed their focus from preaching the Gospel to worldly concerns. This has caused their light to go out in the earth, as they are no longer under His enlightened leadership.

God has removed their candlestick. They once labored for the Gospel. They must overcome the trend that is in the Body of Christ right now that has overtaken them. They must return to their beginnings in Christ so that they can once again eat from the Tree of Life and stop eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  Amen.
