The Lord showed me the American flag blowing in the wind. All of a sudden, out of the heavens came a very dark shroud, as if to come down over the flag and wrap it up in a final burying cloth. As the shroud began to descend from the heavens, suddenly the flag started fluttering. And all of a sudden, I saw all sorts of hands, an innumerable number of hands raised to God and praising Him that the shroud would not fall on our flag.
I saw that this was the work of the Body of Christ, and that the shroud was actually coming down at this critical moment. And if the hands don’t push it back – and that is hands raised in favor of God – then the shroud will fall and bury our flag.
Then the square part of the flag that contains the stars suddenly emerged to the forefront, and the stars began to shoot out like sparklers. And the Lord said, “The end result is in the hands of those who will turn many to righteousness, for they shall shine as the stars of the heaven.” The Lord emphasized in the vision the turning to righteousness – and not just having somebody say a sinner’s prayer – because it is righteousness that exalts and saves the nation, and it is unrighteousness that causes a nation to experience its death. So the greater work is for those who will work to turn many to righteousness. And it is a work. It is beyond a prayer. It is an ability and an anointing in God. Hallelujah!
