Elijah and Our Recent Trip to Israel

The painting, Elijah at the Seder, was introduced to Israel on our recent trip, the introduction of the vision of the return of Elijah to prevent a curse from coming upon the people and land of Israel.

"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: And he shall turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse". (Malachi 4:5-6)

The painting of Elijah entering the open door at the time of the Passover Seder is significant. It represents the heart of the people of Israel open to God and His means of help at this time.

Without a vision, the people perish. Although the promise of Elijah's return has been long in coming, the openness of the people's hearts precipitates his return. All who received the Elijah painting in Israel were touched deeply. Many have displayed the picture in the windows and doors of their shops.

This painting brings hope and faith to all who see it at this dark hour when threats from the north loom over the whole land of Israel. May it remind you that God will provide for Israel as He always has.
