What does your heart tell you? This is at the heart of everything for your life and future. Your whole life of faith is centered around what your heart believes. Everything you think about a lot, every emotion you feel in an on-going way, how you see yourself and your future, all these things are making a spiritual deposit into your heart.
THIS is now what’s in your heart, working as a blueprint. Like an architect’s drawing of things to come, you are building either what you desire in God or things that do not serve you.
As you see yourself complete in the Lord, blessed the way you would like to be blessed, you create a new blueprint by making new deposits in your heart. Your mind is the door to your spirit. What kind of emotions do you feel a lot of the time? They’ve gone through the door of your soul to take root in your spirit, creating what your heart believes. If life is not agreeing with the salvation of Jesus Christ, it is because you spent your time dwelling in thoughts that are contrary to the revealed Word of God.
Spiritual things are invisible things that produce physical manifestations. When we don’t like what we see, we need to deal with the invisible thoughts that seeded them. Ask yourself, “Am I going to come out of this situation triumphantly?” When the answer comes up negative, it shows your need to serve the law of God with your mind.
You may be afraid of the answer, as though what will satisfy you is too much to ask. But we have been told to ask largely of the Lord this year. Use your thoughts. Think on things according to Philippians 4:8 – everything true, just, pure, lovely, of good report, and so forth. Think on these things. That’s what you want your heart to believe in to redirect your emotional life.
